Clonalis House
Similarly
to Strokestown House, OCA advised on the detailed development of the old and the
current Clonalis Houses for Ms Josephine O’Conor and her brother, the Reverend
Charles O’Conor, The O’Conor Don. OCA
carried out a comprehensive survey of the house and advised on the restoration.
It also designed and prepared all the original publicity material and the
contents for its subsequent promotion. Considerable
research was carried out into the history of the buildings and into many of the
artefacts on exhibition. Copies of
many of the documents were prepared by OCA, with the Promoter’s approval, as
well as copying some of the magnificent photographic collection of Irish
buildings. |
