Mount Pleasant House, Dundalk

An 19th Century Georgian Mansion, set back in an extensive Estate, was purchased by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa in the mid 20th Century.  A programme of upgrading, refurbishing and restoration has taken place over the last 10 years and the property is now used as the Headquarters of the Sisters for Africa.   All conservation work has been undertaken by OCA Architect Mary O’Carroll. Some EU2.5m has been spent on the restoration work.  OCA was appointed in 1990 and in turn appointed specialist Consultants on Civil, Structural and Mechanical Engineering.   Partner Mary O’Carroll of OCA is Team Leader.
