Percy French Memorial

The Percy French Memorial Committee, under the guidance of Reverend Fr Francis Byrne, commenced the reconstruction and restoration of Clooneyquinn House, near Tulsk, County Roscommon. OCA undertook the historical research of Clooneyquinn House and produced a set of drawings showing its restoration, based on photographs and historical records which were discovered at various locations.  However, there were insufficient funds to carry out that work and instead, a Memorial was erected on the site to the memory of Percy French.

OCA had originally purchased the fine Entrance Porch to Mote Park House in County Roscommon in 1962.  The monolithic columns from the porch and the entablature were stored over a period of years and part of these were then used in the construction of the Percy French Memorial.
