Sallymount HouseThis
is a modest 2-storey over basement late 18th century House.
The property was purchased by a German National in 1974 and OCA was
engaged on the total reconstruction of the property, including out-buildings,
farm buildings, gates etc.
A considerable amount of money was spent on the property, which was
effectively “gutted”.
OCA
engaged Dr Maurice Craig as Architectural Advisor and due to the OCA workload at
the time, sub-contracted portions of the design work to John O’Connell,
Architect of Dublin. The house was
successfully restored, mouldings, doorways etc., and is now a luxurious private
house, with guest suites attached. |
