ORGANISATION

A clear structure has been in place in the practice for many years which has proved successful and practical.   Every Project is directly handled by one of the partners.  Because of computerisation, liaison with other members of any Design Team is more efficient and consequently Technical Staff levels vary with workload.  Specifications and standard memos are filed electronically, with easy access thereto over the "net".   The standard practice in the OCA office is to Minute all meetings with Clients or any other group of people concerned with Projects.   Site Inspection Reports are also issued on a weekly or fortnightly basis, or as necessary for the particular job.

Brian and Mary O'Carroll are directly involved in the design and technical production of most of the work which the Practice has undertaken over the years.   Both have been particularly involved in Heritage and Commercial, Healthcare and Education Projects.   However, they have also undertaken industrial work, such as the recent Forfas Advance Factory in Longford and State work, such as the Department of the Environment in Ballina, Co Mayo, which was a Design and Build project.   Both have also been responsible for overseas work in England, Scotland and Sudan.

Senior Partners Anna O'Carroll & Laurent Koenig have had experience with several of the famous architectural practices in England and France.   She has recently worked in Renzo Piano's office and also on the extension of Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.   She has returned to Ireland and works on a variety of Projects

Senior Partner Owen O'Carroll specialises in Conceptual Designs and Town Planning.   He has won many awards in Ireland, the UK and overseas for his imaginative work which has been illustrated in technical journals the world over, and hung in the Royal Academy of Arts in London.   He deals with major conceptual designs and presentations.
